MAKE A NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION to apply for First Families status. Our deadline is in April, so write for an application and start getting your information together now. If your ancestors were in Henry County before 31 December 1870, you are eligible for Gold; if they were here before 31 December 1885, you are eligible for Silver.

WE ARE PUBLISHING...

    The Henry County Genealogical Society is publishing Henry County Birth Records Vol. 1. 1867-1877. This has
an every name index of over 10,000 names. Cost is $10.00 plus $2.00 postage and handling.

SURNAME LIST

    Inside this newsletter is a list of surnames being researched by our 1998 members, and our 1998 membership list. For privacy reasons, neither list is reproduced here. When working with queries and those surname lists that we DO include in the electronic version of the newsletters, please remember that members are seeking information on the name and may not have much to offer in return.

OUR SYMPATHY TO Clara Ellen Courtney in the loss of her husband, Clifford. A book is being donated in his name.

    KILPATRICK, Mary I. b. here 1827, dau of John & Esther (TEFT). John b. Canan, MA & Esther in Providence, RI. To IN and MI and then here in 1825. Had 11 ch. Mary m. David KILPATRICK from Ireland to OH in 1840.

    KNIPP, Leroy b. here in 1864, son of Peter & Elizabeth (KILE) of Crawford Co., OH. Peter here at age of 8 yrs. They had 4 ch. Leroy m. Millie SHOEMAKER, dau of Jonas & Mary (SPANGLER) and had Esther, Mary & Paula.
