The Henry County Genealogical Society was formed in September 1986, and is a chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society. Our mission is to create and build interest in preserving and collecting historical records of Henry County and related areas of Ohio.

Our goal is to take an active part in collecting records and making them available for use in genealogical research. We strive to make as many of our materials as possible available free-of-charge to our visitors, but we reserve the right to keep the content of our publications off the web site, because they are our main source of operational revenue.

We operate solely for the education purposes authorized by Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code 1954. Donations to the Henry County Genealogical Society are tax-exempt.
