The Henry County Genealogical Society Newsletter is published bi-monthly. Please see the note at the end of this page for additional information. Not everything published in the newsletters can be reproduced here, largely for reasons of privacy, but also because some information is not meaningful on a Web site. Additionally, the Society publishes data from time to time in the newsletters that eventually will be compiled and sold separately, therefore we do not want to make it available here, because income generated from such sales is not only important to the survival of our non-profit organization, but it enables us to purchase materials for our library holdings which are open for research by members and non-members.

We will not publish the most recent 6 newsletters, since the newsletter is a benefit of membership, and we'd like to give you a good reason to join our Society.

Only information of genealogical significance is reproduced here. The easiest way to find information in past newsletters is to use the Search link at the top of this page. Happy researching!

We will do our best to put you in contact with someone who is researching some of the same families as you. You will find such people in the QUERIES section of most newsletters. If "dec'd" is written after the query submitter's name, it means that researcher is deceased. Please do not ask us to contact the next-of-kin in such cases.

    The Henry County Genealogical Society Newsletter is published bi-monthly. It contains meeting information, queries, helps for research, newspaper gleanings and historical information pertaining to Henry County. However, the editor reserves the right to accept or reject any material submitted. The Newsletter is copyright protected, but the Society gives permission for material to be copied for personal research and other chapter newsletters. Any other use of this material should carry written permission from the Henry County Genealogical Society and acknowledge the source.
    Annual membership is $7.00 for a single membership or $9.00 for a joint membership (two people, same address). Queries are printed free for our members.
    Monthly meetings are held the third Monday of the month, January through November except August. Announcements of meeting topics, times and places are listed on the first page of the Newsletter.
