Researchers

As we build the Henry County Genealogical Society Internet site, we will be placing information here on local researchers who are willing to help you in your research in the Henry County area. Please check with us to find out if these researchers are still available to help.

Henry County

Mrs. Robert (Jane) Yarnell, Napoleon, OH 43545. If interested, let us know, and we will pass your name and number on to her. She will let you know her fees and research available.

Phyllis LaRue, Deshler, will do limited research for the cost of postage, copying fees, and a suggested donation to the Henry County Genealogical Society. She only accepts request via regular mail, and may be reached at:

Ottawa/Sandusky/Erie Counties

Norma Eaton will do research in Ottawa, Sandusky and Erie Counties for those that want help. The fees will be for the price of copies and postage. Here is an opportunity for some of us to save time and leg work for a very reasonable price.

Translations

One of our members, Suzanne Badenhop, has offered to translate any obituaries found in German newspapers which used to be published in this area. If you have clippings from Deutcher Demokrat (Napoleon) or The Defiance Herald, please let us know at and we'll tell you what to do. Any of our officers would be glad to forward copies also. If we get a good response we will be able to publish a collection of the translations, but we haven't heard from you!
